The story of Tim, founder of BoBat, doesn’t begin in an office or workshop, but on the water.
As a young boy, he was already fascinated by the sea and everything related to it. His journey started at a sailing camp in Nieuwpoort, where he discovered his love for watersports. Things progressed quickly from there: he spent years competing in the Spirou and Europe classes.

The idea for BoBat was born

Through this experience, Tim discovered a key need within the watersports community: on-site service for outboard engines. Watersports clubs and professional users often lacked the right tools or expertise to maintain their boats quickly and efficiently. This insight led to the founding of BoBat – a company focused on delivering professional, mobile service for outboard motors, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

What defines Tim?

Tim places great importance on quality, reliability, and proactive thinking. These values are not only the foundation of his work but also the core of the company. He describes himself as punctual, honest, and steady – traits that characterize him both as an entrepreneur and in his personal life.

What gives Tim the most satisfaction in his work?

Finishing a project, big or small. “Whether it’s a minor repair or a more complex project, the feeling of delivering quality is always the most important. When I gain the customer’s trust to fully apply my ideas and expertise, that’s when I feel the most fulfilled,” says Tim.
