Rear tube repair
After an unsuccessful attempt to repair an air leak at home using industrial adhesive, this tube was sent to us for professional repair. We first carefully removed the old adhesive residue. Due to the location of the air leak (in the bend at the back), several steps were required to achieve a durable repair. This is because Hypalon fabric is not flexible enough to form a bend in one go. We then finished the repair with precision to visually maintain the original shape. Finally, we added a reinforcing band to absorb the greatest forces in the water, minimizing the risk of the repair coming loose.
