Programmation VDES

Since January 2024, it is mandatory to update your marine radio to comply with the new VDES programming. This reprogramming includes the following:

  • Blocking the following channels: 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 84, 85, 86 (and for recent devices: 2027, 2028, 2006, 1019, 2019, 1020, 2020, 1078, 2078, 1079, 2079, and 75, 76: low power)

  • Activating channel 31 (all marinas in Belgium and the Netherlands), 1027, 1028

  • If your license permits: activating channel 37A (UK marinas)

This must be done by a specialist since specific software per brand is required. Additionally, this reprogramming depends on the brand and model. For older devices, the update is often not possible. Please contact us to check if your marine radio can be made VDES compliant.

The VDES programming costs €45 VAT included, excluding possible shipping costs for your marine radio.
